Our Family

It all started in 1958, when Aurèle wanted to buy and settle on a dairy farm in St-Albert, in order to continue his life as a farmer with his wife Lucienne and continue to start his little family. Being a wise man of great faith, he sought advice from his father Osias, Gaëtan’s grandfather, asking him to come and see this land he was planning to buy. Trusting in life, Osias took a handful of earth and smelled it, handled it with his hands and added, “This is very good soil, Aurèle, rich soil. The harvest seasons will be good.” Aurèle, the wise , now had peace of mind and bought the farm. Several years passed where Aurèle cultivated and worked long hours in the fields with his wife Lucienne and their 6 children. Osias was right, this land brought a lot of happiness to the Grégoire family.

Now this land has been passed from generation to generation. Following in the same footsteps and values of the great sage, Gaëtan son of Aurèle and Lucienne as well as Ghislain son of Gaëtan have undertaken this little earthly paradise to make it a family business “Les Jardins Écologistes Grégoire”. Gaëtan, a man of great will and determination, continued the arduous work that he was taught by his parents, and now sets an example for his children and grandchildren. A man of faith, he continues his journey every day and he works with passion, giving his time generously to his fields of medicinal plants and lavender while transmitting these same values to his grandson Guyllaume who one day will surely be able to take over. 

 The fields are made up of diverse plants, creating a peaceful atmosphere of calm and well-being for people who want to take the time to recharge their batteries and breathe the air of the countryside. Life went by quickly as Gaëtan’s mother, Lucienne, said and she was completely right. So it’s better to take advantage of it and take the time to appreciate the time and the beauty of these flowers, since life is a gift from Heaven. To heal our soul by breathing the pure air of the countryside and appreciate life at its true value by taking a moment of relaxation for yourself or with family. According to experts, medicinal plants such as “Russian sage, heal our hearts and forgive others, while echinacea keeps the family strong while continuing to do good and help others around you. We were taught to work hard, laugh, love and forgive. So, we are proud of our company, since all the plants at Jardins Écologiste Grégoire are representative of our family. 

 In addition, on the farm, you can benefit from the benefits of our organic meat, since we also raise beef, lamb and chicken while carefully respecting this way of doing things.
